Established in 1946 by Clyde Ward senior, to satisfy the growing need for quality pulleys and belts as industry continued to automate.
Pulleys was the original manufacturer of pulleys in Queensland, initially operating from South Brisbane until 1957, then Rocklea until 1981 when they moved to their current premises at Archerfield.
Today, Pulleys has emerged as the only specialist stockist and distributor of quality drive belts, pulleys, bushes, couplings, sprocket and chains in Queensland.
The Pulleys business model centres on the supply of only quality products such as Gates and Carlisle (formally Dayco) brands of industrial belts.
Pulleys was the first importer of container loads of Gates products into Australia. Pulleys has been a major distributor for Gates since 1971.
After 59 years, the business still has an extensive and loyal customer base that relies on the respected business profile and excellent industry reputation for delivering quality in every aspect of the business.
